Site Selection

Introduction

Site Selection tool selects the locations of the new facilites to cover the demand points most efficiently.

1. Set the demand data

• Demand Data: Spatial data only.
• Demand Field: The field contains the demand values.

2. Set the existing facility data

• Existing Facility Data (Optional): Spatial Data only. The data contain the locations of the existing facilities.

3. Set the candidate facility data

• Candidate Facility Data: Spatial data only. The data contain the locations of the candidate facilities.

4. Set the facility number

• Facility Number: The number of the new facilities.

5. Set the cutoff

• Cutoff (degree): When the distance between a demand point and a facility is larger than the cutoff, the demand point will not be considered for the facility. The unit is the degree.

6. Set the competitor facility data

• Competitor Facility Data (Optional): Spatial data only. The data contain the locations of the competitor facilities.

7. Set the output data

• Output Data Name: If no name is set, the default is "toolName_time".

8. Submit

After completing the above settings, click Submit to start the tool.
When it finishes successfully, a message will be shown at the top of the page. You can click the Open Data button to start accessing the data or go to the Data page to view it.
